Slovakia vs Spain will be featured during the international break watch the match live on Wednesday, the 9th of October.

Defending champions Spain will be looking to make their way into the Euro 2016 after a disappointing World Cup campaign which saw them getting knocked out in the first round. They will travel to Zilina where they face Slovakia in a Group C encounter on Wednesday.

Both sides currently have three points with Spain demolishing Macedonia during their opening match whereas Slovakia got the better of Ukraine in an away fixture. Vicente del Bosque is yet to decide whether star striker Diego Costa is fit enough to start for La Roja. The Chelsea man has been instrumental for the Blues this season and for this reason Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has voiced his opinion that his star striker should be rested for the match against Slovakia, but the Brazilian born striker has insisted that it is he himself who decides whether he should be playing or not.

"I don't want to be in the middle [of Spain and Chelsea]," he said. "Mourinho has not told me anything.

"One has to take into account that many times I am the one that makes the decision depending on how I feel. Here I have the confidence of the coach, the technical team, and if there is a problem I tell them."

"If I'm here and I'm injured then I don't play because it would be worse."

But Costa who was unable to show his true colors during the World Cup in Brazil is determined to establish himself as an integral figure in the Spanish side.

"I'm here ready to play. I've had some problems but it's getting better," said Costa.

"I've already played three games in a week and the coach [Del Bosque] knows that I carry some problems, but I will treat them during the week."

While Diego Costa's inclusion in the starting line-up is still doubtful Spain will definitely be without defender Sergio Ramos who has been ruled out with a calf injury and will be replaced by Barcelona man Marc Bartra.
Slovakia on the other hand have been in commendable form lately having won five of their last six matches including a 1-0 win over Ukraine in Kiev last time out. The hosts will now be out to pull off a major upset at the expense of a side which will be looking for an improved performance after an unsatisfactory World Cup campaign.
