The Colombian star appears to be moving ever close to getting his dream move to Real Madrid after being photographed at the airport

According to Spanish reports, James Rodriguez has issued an ultimatum to Monaco.

The Colombian star has reportedly told the Ligue 1 side in no uncertain terms that he does not wish to play for the team that finished second in France's top flight in any of their pre-season friendlies.

The reason? Naturally, a fear of getting injured that could put his dream move to Real Madrid in jeopardy. Spanish publication AS claims that a locker has already been reserved for this year's World Cup top scorer and that Madrid have put up an offer of €80 million.

Other reports, however, put the price for him at a staggering €90 million. The 23-year-old only just arrived in Monaco last year from Porto for a fee of €45 million, but according to some highly respected football figures, his stay in France was only a temporary thing.

"I believe that’s true [that Rodriguez is too big for the Ligue 1 club]," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was quoted as saying to beIN Sports.

"Why? Because a player like that is difficult to keep at a club when you have Real Madrid and Barcelona looking around, and without a doubt there will be people who will be watching them play and thinking about buying him."

It's also claimed that he has been allocated the no. 10 jersey and that his new kit has already been put on display in some shops in the country. Of course, it's important to note that this photo is NOT from Real Madrid's official kit store but rather another outfit that sells replicas.
