Weeks, even months of speculation have finally come to an end.
German midfielder Toni Kroos will be joining La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid next season after the Spanish club reached an agreement with Bayern Munich over his transfer, revealed both Die Roten and Los Blancos on their official Twitter pages.
The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the finest playmakers in the world, leading the Bavarians to back-to-back domestic league titles and a Champions League trophy back in 2013, just to name a few, and will be a huge loss to the Bundesliga champions.

Toni Kroos was also a integral part of the 2014 World Cup winning German national team which conquered France, Brazil, and Argentina to lift their first trophy since 1990.
Bayern Munich attempted to tie down the midfielder by offering him an improved deal to his contract, which runs out next season, but was turned down by the player.
Kroos was part of the all-conquering Bayern Munich side of the 2012-13 season which famously won the treble under former coach Jupp Heynckes
The 24-year-old also helped his national side win their fourth World Cup trophy
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge later waved farewell to the player they signed at the mere age of sixteen, thanking him for all he has contributed to the German club, saying:
"We would like to thank Toni Kroos for his time here in Munich."
"We enjoyed great success here together. We would like to wish him and his family all the best in Madrid and with Real."
Kroos now signs for the 10-time Champions League winners on a six-year deal for an undisclosed fee and will be presented at Santiago Bernabeu later on Thursday upon passing his medical.
