David Moyes, recently sacked after he managed Manchester United’s worst run in 20 years, recently became the center of a new controversy. According to the report of some witnesses, the Scottish manager assaulted one Joshua Gillibrand, 23, outside of the Emporium Wine Bar.

Apparently, the youngster, who was smoking outside the wine bar, had been giving Moyes some stick about the coach’s incredibly poor season with United. The latter reacted to the stinging comments and pushed Mr. Gillibrand, who landed on a metal table causing glasses and bottles to shatter on the floor.

Yet another stain on former Everton coach's career

One of the witnesses revealed:

“We were at a table outside having a drink when we saw David Moyes walk past this group who were stood outside smoking. Something was said and he just shoved him.”

Unfortunately for Moyes, the taunting did not stop at the wine bar

The same individual added:

“The lad fell into some metal tables and one went rolling into the road and cars had to stop. Loads of glasses got smashed and the lad looked like he hurt himself when he fell.”

Since he was sacked, fans have not stopped making fun of the Scottish manager

The police responded quickly and questioned both Moyes and Gillibrand. It is not clear yet whether the matter will be taken to court, but a spokesman for Lancashire Police said

“At about 10pm on Wednesday […] it was reported that a 23-year-old local man had been assaulted by a 51-year-old man. He did not require hospital treatment.

Moyes has been heavily criticized after his disastrous 8 months at Old trafford

The spokesman further announced:

“Inquiries are ongoing [and] No one has been arrested at this stage.”

How the “mighty” have fallen.
