A sad day for football fans around the world, as Borussia Dortmund's match against Monaco has been suspended due to an explosion near the German club's bus.
Reports from Germany state that three explosive devices were found close to the team's hotel, with one of them detonating near the team's transport.
"According to current knowledge the wheels of the bus (whole or partial) burst and one person was injured. It is not yet possible to say exactly what the explosion was or exactly where something exploded,"a report from the German police stated.
While early reports indicated that "a person" was injured after the explosion, the club stepped up to reveal that Spanish defender Marc Bartra was the one to come down with "minor" injuries.
"Marc Bartra was taken to the hospital after being injured during the explosion. We wish Marc a quick recovery"
