About Polsat Sport News

Polsat Sport News is a Polish television channel owned and operated by Cyfrowy Polsat. It became the first sports-centered television channel to be launched in Poland on May 30, 2011. Polsat Sport News has been used to provide additional sports coverage to the content aired by its sister channels: Polsat Sport and Polsat Sport Extra.

Over the years, Polsat Sport News has cemented its sports coverage with different magazine shows for specific sports. Added to that, highlights’ shows have also been aired on this network to give users a general scope on the world of sports. Some of the disciplines covered by the channel’s shows have included football, handball, tennis, boxing, golf, and more. Added to that, the channel has been used as an overflow channel to some live events.

Speaking about football, Polsat Sport News has covered events such as the FIFA World Cup and other major events via magazine shows. Speaking about live coverage, this channel has also been used to air games for the top tier of Czech football. The channel has also aired delayed or repeated broadcasts for some of the games that have been aired live on its sister channels.

Polsat Sport News was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was launched on January 2, 2017. Both feeds might still be available for Polish users to watch.
