Thomas Tuchel is arguably one of the hottest free agent coaches in European football, and while there have already been some clubs that have shown interest in the former Chelsea boss, the tactician seems ready to snub any offers coming his way after learning he is the candidate for one of the hottest seats in Bundesliga football.
According to reports by Sport1, the former Blues' coach has turned down an offer from Bayer Leverkusen to replace under-fire boss Gerardo Seoane, who has only been able to win one of Die Werkself's eight Bundesliga matches. Those numbers have prompted the team's hierarchy to contact Tuchel, who reportedly decided to turn them down while waiting for another gig.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach has also been in touch with Bayern München execs, who may have asked the boss to wait to see how things go this season for The Bavarians, especially when it comes to the UEFA Champions League. If Bayern fail to reach the defining stages of that tournament, then Tuchel would become the No.1 candidate for that job.
Word on the street suggests that the 49-year-old boss is ready to turn down all offers to coach other clubs while he waits for Bayern's offer. Nevertheless, if things go as Bayern fans want during this season, then maybe coach Tuchel will have to search for other employment opportunities, since it seems far-fetched to see Bayern letting Nagelsmann leave if he can steer the club to European glory.
As for Bayer Leverkusen, the team is said to be willing to let Seoane leave once they know the outcome of their UEFA Champions League match against Porto, which is set to take place on Tuesday.
