The Man City striker hit the ground running with his first Champions League for the Premier League giants.

Erling Haaland is off the mark in the Champions League once again with the Norwegian striker hitting his first goal of the campaign Manchester City colors. The 22-year-old attacker entered the competition's record books in the process, becoming only the fourth player in history to score in his first appearance for three different teams.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has already announced his presence to fans of the Premier League by hitting 10 goals in his first six appearances - including back-to-back hat-tricks. In the Champions League, his reputation precedes him and, on Tuesday, he extended his impressive goalscoring run by getting his first in the competition for City. Kevin De Bruyne featured in the supply line once more, and had his ball to the far post being tapped home by his side's newest acquisition for the game's first in the 22nd minute.

With the first half strike, Erling Haaland joined Fernando Morientes, Javier Saviola and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the only four players to score in their first appearance for three different teams. The Norwegian secured a spot among the quartet by scoring in his Champions League debuts for RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and Man City.

In the second half, the 22-year-old forward registered his second goal of the night to outrightly become the youngest-ever player to hit 25 goals in the history of the Champions League. The player has only made 20 appearances in the competition so far.
