The Ligue 1 champions are close to recruiting two more Spanish internationals into the squad before the transfer window shuts close.

Paris Saint-Germain are close to signing Fabian Ruiz from Napoli and are reportedly eyeing a separate move for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler. Les Parisians are said to have had a bid in the excess of $26M being accepted by the Serie A club and are also readying an offer worth $17M for his compatriot.

Fabian Ruiz's exit from Napoli was somewhat a matter of when and the opening of this summer's transfer window has seen the player being linked to several top European clubs. With just a year remaining on his current contract, the 26-year-old midfielder opted against extending his stay and was willing to see out the remaining months in order to leave as a free agent in June next season. Instead, Luciano Spalleti's side has moved to cash in on him.

On Monday morning, French news outlet L'Équipe reported that while Paris Saint-Germain had agreed personal terms with Ruiz, his purported switch to the Ligue 1 champions had stalled as Napoli's demands had not yet been met. But that has seemingly been straightened out, with the French club offering a figure close to the Serie A side's $30M asking price. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder will travel to Paris on Tuesday to complete his move and is expected to sign a contract which will keep him at the club until at least 2026.

While Fabian Ruiz joins PSG as their fifth signing this summer, the club is far from being done in the transfer market. Ahead of the September 1 deadline, Spanish media outlet COPE have reported that the French champions are eyeing a move for Valencia skipper Carlos Soler. The Spanish international was initially tipped as an alternative for Ruiz should that move breakdown but it seems the 2020 Champions League finalists will push to bring the midfielder to join their already-stacked roster.
