The group stages of the 2022 UEFA Women's EURO competition concludes on Monday, July 18th as Iceland face France and Italy take on Belgium.

Preview: Iceland vs France

With Sweden and the Netherlands securing their spots in the quarter-finals, and France already having booked a berth, only one spot remains available for grabs. Iceland, at the moment, may be still seeking their first win of this summer's EURO tournament, but at the moment, they are in a slightly better position to qualify as opposed to Italy and Belgium.

Iceland have picked up two points from their first two games against those two teams, while Italy and Belgium have a point each. Of course, they will need to ensure they avoid a loss here, and will be guaranteed a spot in the knockout rounds with a victory. Although France will be missing key striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto due to an ACL injury, Les Bleues are nonetheless the heavy favorites to make it three wins in three from the group stages.

Not only have Iceland failed to win their last five meetings with France - scoring just one goal during that miserable run - but France are presently on a 16 match winning streak. Corinne Diacre's side are just one away from matching their all-time record of 17, which was set between August 2011 and July 2012. However, Iceland have been on a solid kick lately, with just one loss from their last 12 games (W9 D2) but one area they have really struggled is grabbing goals. To date, Iceland have scored just six times in their last 12 EURO games - something that they will need to improve on if they want to have a shot at securing a spot in the next round.

Team news: Iceland vs France

Iceland: No new injuries or suspensions for Iceland ahead of this game.

France: France have been dealt a huge blow due to an injury to star striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who will miss the rest of EURO 2022 after an ACL injury.

    Preview: Italy vs Belgium

Both Italy and Belgium come into this game down, but not out. The Azzurre were humiliated 5-1 during their EURO opener against France, conceding five goals in one half for the first time in tournament history, but managed to battle to a draw with Iceland in their next match. Meanwhile, Belgium drew Iceland, but were edged out 2-1 by France on matchday two. As such, it will be winners take all in this decisive clash, with Iceland facing an uphill battle against France in the other match to be played on Monday evening.

Against Iceland, Italy had to claw their way back to claim a point, and Milena Bertolini will certainly hope those efforts will help see the Azzurre over the line in their final group stage match on Monday evening. Meanwhile, Belgium will need to pick themselves up after a disappointing reversal against France that saw them briefly equalize, but end up conceding shortly after to end up losing 2-1. In addition, they will have to make do without Amber Tysiak, who received two yellow cards in rapid succession and as such is banned for this game.

Will Italy be able to recover after a bad start and book their spot in the next round? Will it be Belgium? Or will neither of these two sides be able to progress if Iceland manage to avoid a loss to France?

    Team news: Italy vs Belgium

Italy: No new injury or suspension concerns for Italy.

Belgium: Amber Tysiak is suspended for this match.
