Before putting pen to paper with QPR in January, it was speculated that Loic Remy would sign for Arsenal before the 2012/13 season kicked off.

The 26-year-old French striker made his move to the Premier League in January of 2013, but his stay with QPR could be cut short due to their already confirmed relegation.

Harry Redknapp was just one of many key figures brought into the London club to save the side from a potential relegation battle, but not even the former Tottenham Hotspur manager was able to save Tony Fernandes' club.

Heading into next season, Remy appears to be set to move on from his five month adventure with QPR. His move to London cost approximately 8 million pounds, but Arsene Wenger is confident that if he was to make a bid, he could sign the French international at a cheaper price.

Since arriving at QPR, Remy has enjoyed some success, even after picking up an injury which led many to believe his season had come to an end. After putting that rumor to rest, Remy took the field against Arsenal on Saturday, but he was unable to add to his five goals in 11 matches with his new club.

Remy would offer Arsenal some mobility in the front line, but if anything, Arsene Wenger has that same mobility in Theo Walcott. Bringing in the former Marseille striker would add some experience to the side, but again, Remy is not what many would consider a world class striker.

Having already gone down this road a number of times, Arsene Wenger could face a lot of questions if he is to bring in Remy in the summer, although his price tag may be worth the gamble. Players such as Chamakh and even former Monaco striker Park Chu-Young were both stand out players in France, but failed to impress upon their arrival at the Emirates.

An advantage that Remy has over the other two mentioned, is the fact that he has been able to adapt to the Premier League, without the pressures of a big club. If and when he does make a move to another club at the end of the season, his short stint at Loftus Road could prove to be very beneficial for a player who is still young and could offer a lot to English Football.

Before losing his starting role at Marseille, Remy averaged 18.5 goals in his two seasons with the club. Taking into consideration his age, those numbers are fairly impressive.

If the QPR striker is to make his way across London in the summer, would he be an ideal signing for the Gunners? Or could this turn out to be another player from Ligue 1 who fails to make his mark at Arsenal?
