The Argentine ace had to hang his cleats earlier this season due to a cardiac problem, but recent medical examinations could give him a chance to come back.

Months after having to quit from professional football, Sergio Agüero has once again shocked the world by clearly stating his intentions to go back to the profession that gave him the status of a star.

Speaking in a brief interview with Argentine media outlet TyC Sports, "Kun" Agüero revealed that even though he is ready to follow all the rules handed to him by his physicians, he will at some point be able to go back to the pitch after he cleared recent examinations.

"Yesterday I had the idea of going back to playing football. The doctors have told me that I had to be out of the game for five or six months, but right now I am feeling ready to start training one more time," Agüero said.

Interviewed prior to the FIFA World Cup draw, the currently retired striker added that he will follow all of his doctors' instructions regarding his health, whether he makes a return to professional football or not.

"I am trying to play amateur football to keep in shape. I was invited to Miami to play a game but I did not make it, I will keep this in mind and talk to my doctor about it," Agüero added.

Then, the footballer went on to reveal that a Major League Soccer club has already offered him a chance to go back to the pitch, and while he turned that offer down, he may consider it on the long run.

"Inter Miami called me but I turned them down. Maybe in two years, I don't know for sure," Agüero stated.

Speaking about the FIFA World Cup draw, Agüero predicted that Argentina could be one of the serious candidates to win the title, but he also asked fans not to get ahead of themselves before the draw takes place.

"You have to keep everything under consideration, from the games to the possible rivals in the KO rounds, but it is safe to say that Argentina will always be a contender to win the FIFA World Cup," Agüero concluded.
