The disappointed fans of the Red Devils were out of order at full time.

Manchester United could be hit with a hefty fine in the coming days for the misconduct of their fans during Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid. A video footage which has emerged showed the supporters of the club throwing bottles at Diego Simeone after the Argentine coach wildly celebrated his side's quarter-final qualification with their win.

Atletico Madrid secured 2-1 win on aggregate thanks to Renan Lodi's first-half goal, and they defended their lead in the second half in a manner that enraged United's supporters, players, and coaching staff. Aided by a number of bad calls by referee Slavko Vincic, the La Liga club wasted a lot of time with different antics, sparking a massive outrage across Old Trafford at full-time.

After the final whistle was blown, Simeone wildly celebrated in his technical area before sprinting towards the tunnel after Ralf Rangnick's handshake. On his way, he had bottles being thrown at him from the crowd, before the much officials received the same treatment moments after.
