The Catalans extended their unbeaten run with another brilliant performance.

Multiple milestones were landed on Sunday night at Camp Nou, with Barcelona adding to their remarkable winning streak in La Liga. The Catalans put in another impressive shift to keep their fairytale start under Xavi on track, defeating Osasuna by four goals to nil to keep their top-four aspirations alive.

It was a comfortable ride for Barca at Camp Nou on Sunday, with Ferran Torres opening the scoring inside the first 14 minutes from the penalty spot. The opportunity arrived after Gavi was brought down in the Osasuna penalty box. Seven minutes later, Torres increased his side's advantage to two, this time, cooly sliding the ball in between the legs of the visitors goalkeeper after being played through by Ousmane Dembele.

Another assist from Dembele led Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to poke home Barcelona's third goal of the night before half-time. With Osasuna failing to fashion any response for Xavi's men, Rique Puig put the clash out of their reach with the fourth goal of the night. The young midfielder had been on the field for less than three minutes and managed to take the ball round the keeper before firing home after having his initial shot from the edge of the box saved.

Earlier, Gerrard Pique, who was making his 600th appearance for the club, had the ball in the back of the net but saw his goal chalked off as he was offside in the build-up. At the moment, Barcelona sit in third place on the league table, with 12 points separating them and leaders Real Madrid.

Below are a number of landmarks attained due to Sunday night's result:

  • With Riqui Puig's goal against Osasuna, Barcelona now have 22 different goalscorers in La Liga this season, the most of any team in a La Liga campaign in the 21st century (Real Madrid had 21 in 2019-20).

  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored five goals in six La Liga games, the second-fastest Barcelona player to reach five goals in the competition in the 21st century, after Samuel Eto'o in 2004 and Zlatan Ibrahimović in 2009.

  • Ferran Torres has scored his first brace in La Liga (78 appearances), netting twice with just four shots in the first half against Osasuna. In 16 previous attempts, he had scored just once for Barcelona in the competition

  • Ousmane Dembélé has provided five assists in his last four La Liga games, equalling the most by a player in the competition in 2022 (Alex Berenguer with five) and as many as in his previous 45 league games for Barcelona.
