Pep Guardiola, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez landed remarkable milestones as Man City swept aside Manchester United in Sunday's evening's derby. The Citizens handed the local rivals a humble pie by staging a rout to run away with a 4-1 win at the Etihad.
In the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw, the visitors barely did enough to deal with the threat of City, conceeding the game's opening goal inside the first four minutes. Kevin De Bruyne was the plaer to put the league leaders in front and completed the first half with a brace after Jadon Sancho had canceled out his opener.
With the goals, the Belgian international became only the fourth player in the Premier League's history to reach the 50 goals landmark. Christian Benteke, Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard were the first three players to land the feat.
37 – Since the start of last season, Kevin De Bruyne has generated 37 shots against Man Utd in the Premier League (17 shots, 20 chances created); the most by any player against a team in this period.
