Once again, Christian Pulisic has stepped up and delivered for Chelsea just when the Blues needed the American ace to shine. And how did he do that? With a scintillating counter-attack that ended in the back of Lille's net.
The North American footballer was decisive for the Blues during the Round of 16 match against Lille with a crucial 2nd-half goal. Pulisic put to good use an assist by N'Golo Kanté to double their lead against the Ligue 1 champions. To top it all, Pulisic's strike saw him coming inches close to securing a record for CONCACAF players.
The Chelsea footballer is now level with a Manchester United legend in the goalscoring department for CONCACAF players. Who stands in front of him to accomplish the record? Another Red Devils' striker.
