The Bianconeri have been given a major boost heading into their round of 16 Champions League tie with Villarreal on Tuesday.

Juventus have picked up two draws from their last two games against minnows Atalanta and Torino, and it's safe to assume that those weren't the results Massimiliano Allegri would have wanted for his side. Against Atalanta, Juventus had to battle to come from a 1-0 deficit, but in the Derby della Mole, they actually ended up conceding after taking a narrow 1-0 lead.

Still, the Bianconeri find themselves in fourth spot, ahead of the likes of Atalanta, albeit dropping four points lately hasn't helped their cause as they still look to finish higher in the table.

There will be little time to rue over that, however, as Juventus will resume their Champions League journey on Tuesday, with an away trip to take on Villarreal.

And La Vecchia Signora have been given a major boost in their personnel department.

Veteran defender Leonardo Bonucci, who's been out for much of 2022 due to a calf injury, returned to training today and may be able to make the trip to Spain. It'll come as a huge boost for Allegri's side, who will have to make do without equally experienced defender Giorgio Chiellini, as well as back-up option Daniele Rugani.

Yet, it's not all sunshine and roses in the Juve camp, as Paulo Dybala has reportedly been ruled out for this fixture after sustaining an injury during the Derby della Mole last Friday. The Argentinian star is expected to miss at least a week, potentially more, meaning that he won't be available for this game or Juve's next Serie A match against Empoli this upcoming weekend.
