Cagliari vs Milan Preview

Red-hot Rossoneri will be looking for their fourth league victory on the trot against Cagliari in order to consolidate their position in the top four.

Milan have been in sensational form in recent weeks, and will be aiming to continue with their impressive run of results when they travel to the Stadio Is Arenas to do battle with Cagliari.

The Rossoneri are unbeaten in their last twenty games against Cagliari, including winning their last eight, and will rate their chances of claiming another victory on Sunday.

Milan will be hoping to overtake Lazio in third place in the coming weeks, and if they manage to pick up the three points, and Lazio lose against Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, they will achieve exactly this.

Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of Milan, will be unable to count with the services of Daniele Bonera, Massimo Ambrosini and long-term absentee Nigel de Jong, while Riccardo Montolivo is serving a suspension.

Allegri, who has gradually moulded together a solid, hard-working side, is clearly delighted with the instant impact made by new signing Mario Balotelli, who scored both goals in the 2-1 victory over Udinese last weekend, and will feature him alongside Stephan El Shaarawy in Milan's formidable attack.

Rivals Cagliari may lie in 16th-place of the table, but will be boosted by their spectacular 4-2 victory over Roma last weekend. They will be desperate to further distance themselves from the drop-zone, and will play their hearts out in order to cause a major upset.

Radja Nainggolan and Danilo Avelar are unavailable for the hosts, due to suspension, while Nene is in serious doubt of missing out due to injury.

The Rossoblu haven't beaten Milan in nearly 15 years, but the fact that they come into the clash four games unbeaten surely boosts their chances of changing this negative statistic.
