Eden Hazard returns to the squad following suspension. Wigan has a lengthy injury list; Ryo Miyaichi, Antolin Alcaraz, Ivan Ramis, Albert Crusat, Michael Pollitt and Ben Watson are all out injured. Emmerson Boyce and Fraser Fyvie are doubtful.

Analysis

Chelsea has had a strange season so far. Their last game was a strange one by all means. They had a lead against Newcastle but let the lead slip. Also, luck did not favor Chelsea. They could have been awarded a penalty had a handball in the penalty area in the dying seconds been picked up by the referee. Wigan continues to live by their philosophy of beautiful football. However, they are currently in great danger of being relegated. This game should be greatly entertaining. Chelsea has not always convinced at Stamford Bridge; Wigan could pick up a point in this one.
