Manager Chris Hughton is confident of the return of the influential Grant Holt. Holt is a doubt due to a hamstring injury. Steven Whittaker is also doubtful due to a return of the hip problem that saw him miss the Capital One Cup defeat to Aston Villa. Ryan Bennett is a doubt too for this one. John Ruddy remains out of action with a thigh problem. Andrew Summan is out due to a knee problem.
Ryan Bertrand has a small issue with his groin for Chelsea. He should be ready for the game against Norwich. John Terry is out with a knee problem. Oriel Romeu is of-course out for the season as he damaged his knee ligaments early on in the season. Daniel Sturridge is also doubtful.
Analysis
Norwich plays good football under their manager Chris Hughton. They had collected 11 points from five Premier League games before running into WBA and losing 2-1. Norwich had not been beaten in ten Premier League matches prior to the meeting against West Brom. They didn’t fare well against Chelsea early on in the season. They were also hammered by Liverpool.
A win over Arsenal however began a run which propelled them to tenth place. Chelsea will look to bully Norwich into submission and do what they did to Aston Villa. However, Norwich will put up a fight. Chris Hughton will be quietly confident of at-least a point from this one as his side has beaten both Manchester United and Arsenal this season.
