Tottenham Hotspur haven't defeated Norwich City in their last two meetings. A match at Carrow Road against the Canaries could prove to be a difficult task for Andre Villas Boas and his squad.

Norwich struggled early on in the domestic campaign, but a hard fought victory over Arsenal may have kick started their season. The Canaries followed up their victory with a draw away to Aston Villa in a match that may well have ended in a victory for Norwich after Villa had a player sent off.

Chris Hughton's next task will be taking on an in form Tottenham side that he already played earlier in the season.

A late equalizer from Robert Snodgrass delighted the Norwich fans at White Hart Lane as they stole a point from a Tottenham side that was still struggling to find their feet under their new manager.

Tottenham has managed to win five of their last six league matches, with a surprising victory at Old Trafford in the mix.

Jermaine Defoe is hoping that his side can come out on top against the Canaries in a match that he knows will not be easy.

"It's another hard game, they had a fantastic result against Arsenal," sad Defoe. "I'm sure Chrissie was delighted with that performance and to beat Arsenal, not many teams do that."

"I can imagine they are buzzing after a win like that. It's another away game for us, another tough game and another must-win game. We're looking forward to it."

Spurs enter the match having defeated Southampton over the weekend 1-2 thanks to goals from Gareth Bale and Clint Dempsey.

Prediction

Tottenham has been playing well as of late, so they will be full of confidence heading into Carrow Road on Wednesday.

Trying to compare this match with their previous match when both teams drew at White Hart Lane would be a big mistake for both managers. Both teams were in a different phase, with both manager's trying to get their new sides up to par with their expectations.

Norwich had a big win in their last match at home, so carrying the confidence over will be a big boost of moral for the squad and fans.

Andre Villas Boas won't take this match lightly and he will want to go onto the next round, but he will be sure to be cautious of his opposition. Norwich will throw players forward at certain moments of the game, trying to take advantage of the home crowd. If Tottenham can weather the storm when needed, they have enough offensive power to be able to put a few goals past the Norwich keeper.
