Die Schwarzgelben, who will be desperate to get back on track after a shocking result against Ajax, will have to do so without one of their key players.

On Wednesday, Borussia Dortmund will be looking to get back on track in the Champions League after a humiliating loss on matchday three. All seemed to be going well enough for die Schwarzgelben until they traveled to face Ajax, and their Dutch hosts managed to pull off a huge upset, beating them 4-0 in a result that sent shockwaves around the world.

Since then, Marco Rose's men have recovered, winning their last three games across all comps. Dortmund have booked their spot in the next round of the DFB-Pokal and presently sit in second spot in the Bundesliga, just one point behind perpetual rivals Bayern Munich.

In the Champions League, however, they've slipped into second spot after the negative result against the Dutch outfit, and as such, Rose's squad will be looking not just for revenge, but also to put some distance between themselves and Sporting CP, who sit in third spot.

However, they'll have to do this without one of their key players: Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker, who has scored 13 goals so far across all comps, is reportedly set to miss this match due to a hip injury. Haaland has missed other games for Dortmund so far this season, but his absence here will be a huge worry for his side especially with the potentially tricky task ahead of them.

Dortmund now will have to re-shuffle their line-up with Steffen Tigges potentially given a run-out or Thorgan Hazard, younger brother of Real Madrid's Eden Hazard, being again used as the focal point after scoring three goals in Dortmund's last two matches across all comps.
