Cardiff's Millenium Stadium awaits what promises to be a hotly-disputed clash between two pre-tournament title candidates.
Uruguay will be hoping to pull off a major upset when they take on Great Britain in a must-win encounter at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Wednesday.

The two-time Olympic gold medalists have put themselves in an extremely complicated position, after suffering an unexpected 2-0 defeat to Senegal at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, but nevertheless they will still rate their chances of overcoming the hosts.

Great Britain, who cruised to a 3-1 victory over the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, only need a point to advance to the quarter-finals, but while Uruguay could also progress with a draw, they would have to rely on the UAE doing them a favour against Senegal.

Due to the fact that both sides can't afford to lose, the game is expected to be a hotly-contested affair. Both sides came into the competition as potential title candidates, but the chances are that one of the two will be eliminated after the game.

Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez is expected to make three changes to the side that lost against Senegal, with Matias Aguirregaray, Diego Rodriguez and Tabare Viudez occupying the spots of Emiliano Albin, Maximiliano Calzada and Nicolas Lodeiro.

Meanwhile, Stuart Pearces's side continue to remain without any serious injury problems. If there is a change however, it will only be brought down to tactics, where tall centre-back James Tomkins could replace Micah Richards.

While Great Britain come into the game as the slight favourites, Uruguay have a favourable history against British nations, as they have only ever lost one encounter out of eight.
