The South Americans reiterated that they are the team to beat from the competition after cruising past their rivals.
Brazil advanced to the quarter-finals of the Olympic Games after coming from behind to defeat Belarus 3-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

But Mano Menezes' men were in for an initial shock, when in the 8th minute Belarus took a surprise lead when Renan Bressan Bardini nodded home a free header.

But their joy was short-lived as seven minutes later Alexandre Pato drew Brazil level when he was caught out in the area by Neymar with a superb delivery, and headed the ball into the back of the net from close range.

The Brazilians picked up their game immensely since getting on level terms, but despite coming close to adding their second goal they were continually kept out by the heroics of Belarus goalkeeper Aleksandr Gutor.

The second half was all one-way traffic, as a far-superior Selecao completely dominated their lacklustre opponents, as they went in search of another goal.

The likes of Neymar, Hulk and Oscar looked extremely dangerous each time they moved to the attack and it seemed that at any moment they would find their much-deserved second goal.

After much pressure, their goal finally arrived in the 65th minute when the brilliant Neymar fired home a spectacular free-kick from 25 yards out.

New Chelsea signing Oscar came close to scoring from another free-kick moments later, but his fine effort was saved by Gutor.

However, Oscar sealed the victory for Brazil with their third goal, when in second half stoppage time he was put through on goal by a classy Neymar back-heel, and blasted the ball into the top-left hand corner of the net.
