The Copa America champions will host La Celeste in the standout fixture while runaway leaders Brazil are set for a tricky away test.

The CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers continue in full swing this weekend, with Matchday 11 set to take place this Sunday. Two simultaneous 4 p.m. ET clashes kick off this round, with Bolivia taking on Peru and Ecuador visiting Venezuela. However, all eyes will be on the subsequent fixtures.

From the continent's big boys, Brazil will take to the field first, facing Colombia in a highly-anticipated showdown at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez. The Selecao head into this clash on the back of a 3-1 comeback victory over Venezuela, with goals from Marquinhos, Gabriel Barbosa, and Antony overturning Eric Ramirez's 11th-minute strike.

Argentina, on the other hand, drew 0-0 in their last outing and will thus need to bounce back in the race to catch up with first-placed Brazil. Eighth-placed Chile, on the other hand, are running out of time to turn their fortunes around, having picked up one win from their opening 10 games, and will be in dire need of three points come this Sunday. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming round in the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers standings ahead of Sunday's fixtures

CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador

Top games to watch

Colombia vs Brazil: As mentioned above, the Selecao had to fight back from a goal down in order to overcome Venezuela in their most recent fixture. Regardless, that 3-1 triumph remains the closest thing to a stain in the nation's perfect record, with Tite's men winning all nine of their games and racking up 27 points along the way. As a result, the no.1 spot is comfortably theirs, with their closest rivals – second-placed Argentina – trailing by eight points.

Colombia, on the other hand, trail by a whopping 13 points, having picked up only three wins in the 10 qualifiers they've played so far. As a result, Los Cafeteros sit in fifth, and while this spot will secure them a ticket to the Qatar 2022 playoffs, their inability to convert draws into wins – they suffered stalemates in half of their games – could see Reinaldo Rueda's miss out to those breathing down their necks.

Argentina vs Uruguay: La Albiceleste head into this tie on the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw with Paraguay, a game which could have seen Argentina put some distance between themselves and their closest rivals – Ecuador and Uruguay. Fortunately, Lionel Scaloni's men remain an in-form side, with the Copa America champions boasting a 23-game unbeaten run.

Uruguay, on the other hand, boast four wins to their name, one less than their weekend opponents. Despite this, Oscar Tabarez's men have been nothing short of disappointing. Regardless, since every other nation's qualification campaign – beside Brazil, that is – has been riddled with inconsistency and slip-ups, La Celeste find themselves in the fourth and final automatic qualification spot. Will Suarez and Co. get revenge on Argentina for that 2021 Copa America defeat? Tune in to find out.

Chile vs Paraguay: La Roja need to turn things around immediately if they wish to keep their Qatar 2022 hopes alive. Chile currently sit in eighth and are already seven points adrift of Colombia. Paraguay, meanwhile, sit five points ahead in sixth and will thus be a tricky test for the 2015 Copa America winners.

Who's in and who's out?

Brazil: No injuries

Argentina: Sergio Aguero, Paulo Dybala; Lautaro Martinez (doubtful)

Uruguay: None

Colombia: No injuries

Chile: Arturo Vidal

Paraguay: David Martinez, Blas Riveros
