A trio of London clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, lead the FA Women’s Super League after four matchdays. On the bottom half of the table, Manchester City is playing catch-up after a poor start to its season.

Chelsea picked up three points at Kingsmeadow on Saturday after a 3-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion. Australia's Sam Kerr, Germany's Guro Riten and England's Bethany England got their names on the scoresheet for Chelsea. Brighton forward Danielle Carter's goal was not enough to complete a comeback.

Midfielder Kim Little led Arsenal to a 4-0 win against Aston Villa in Birmingham on Sunday. The 31-year-old bagged a brace that shot her up to the top goalscorer list with teammates Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead. Also, Japan's Mana Iwabuchi scored against her former club.

Tottenham denied Leicester City, who are still looking for their first-ever FA WSL point. The Spurs 2-0 victory over the Foxes kept them tied for first place along with rivals Arsenal. However, the Gunners +15 goal differential bests the Lilywhites' +5 goals differential.

Everton has been taking strides in the right direction after dropping their opening two games of the 2021/22 fa Women's Super League season. Now, the Toffees are on a two-game winning streak after taking down Reading 3-0 on Sunday.

Manchester City finds itself in a three-game losing streak after falling to Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham United. The loss against West Ham is the last of Man City's poor streak. Additionally, the Sky Blue crashed out of the Champions League in the second round of the competition against women's football newbies Real Madrid.
