Bale set to miss 14 games due to new injury

Gareth Bale set to miss FOURTEEN games due to new injury

September 18, 2021 By Oscar Rojas
Just when life at the Bernabeu seemed to be easier for the Welshman, the player is set to come back to the pitch until the final weeks of November.

Gareth Bale can't seem to catch a break at Real Madrid even after Zinedine Zidane's departure.

The Welsh ace, who seemed to be ready leave a lasting impression in front of the team's supporters in what could be his final season at the Bernabeu, has been ruled out once again due to an untimely muscular injury to his right leg. The main problem for Bale is that Real Madrid doctors have asked coach Carlo Ancelotti not to consider him to play until late November.

The former Tottenham Hotspur men will thus have to watch his teammates from the stands in fourteen games, which will include nine La Liga games and three UEFA Champions League matches. If you add the game against Celta and the clash against Inter, the total number of games in which Bale will be absent is fourteen.

Out of those matches, Bale will surely regret not being around to play El Clásico against Barcelona, Sunday's clash against Valencia, and the two UCL matches against Shakhtar, all key games in the team's efforts to cement their chances as title contenders.

This new injury blow will also place coach Ancelotti on quite a predicament, since he had hinted Bale was going to be a key member of his team this season. Now, the Italian tactician will have to work with players such as Marco Asensio or Isco, who had been targeted to have a minor role with the squad this year.

If things go as planned, Bale will return to the pitch against Granada, a game that is set to take place on November 21. Only time will tell how much damage Bale's absence will do to Los Blancos, mainly because his start of the season had not been that bad at all.
