Chile's national team coach understands the importance of picking up a positive result from the altitude of La Paz.
Claudio Borghi, the Argentine coach of Chile, admitted that his team will be pressured to return home with at least a point from their visit to Bolivia on Saturday.

Chile, who have been rather inconsistent in the World Cup qualifiers so far, face a daunting challenge in the high altitude of La Paz, and will have to overcome this factor to pick up a positive result.

"The pressure to win is always there. Right now we aren't using our calculators, but we know that earning the points as visitors will be very important," Borghi affirmed to the press.

Chile have fond memories of facing Bolivia at 3,600 metres above sea level in La Paz, after having beaten the hosts there in the last edition of the World Cup qualifiers.

Borghi believes the game will be won in the middle of the park, and due to this will try to pack his midfield with as much quality as possible.

"We think that we either win or lose the matches in the midfield," stated the former Colo Colo and Boca Juniors coach.

Finally, the coach explained the importance of the game against Bolivia and their following fixture with Venezuela.

"We are playing for important things. We know that winning away from home is very important. It isn't an obligation, but it is what we desire," he concluded.

Chile currently find themselves in fifth position of the South American World Cup qualifiers, with six points from four games.
