The Egyptian hit the target to inspire the Reds to yet another win in the league.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has found himself rubbing shoulders with a handful of Premier League greats once again after helping his side to an emphatic win against Leeds United on Sunday. The 29-year-old attacker got on the scoresheet to record his 100th goal in the English top flight, becoming the fifth fastest player to achieve the feat in the competition's history.

It was practically one-way traffic for the former league champions whose trip to Elland Road saw them extending their unbeaten run in the new Premier League campaign. It took just 20 minutes for Jurgen Klopp's men to open the scoring with Trent-Alexander Arnold finding Mohamed Salah with a low-cross. The latter finished off the chance to join the EPL's 100 goals club in what was his 162nd appearance in the competition. The Egyptian is also closing down on Didier Drogba's record as the highest-scoring African in the league.

Salah's achievement was however marred by a Pascal Struijk's horrific tackle on Harvey Elliot that has apparently left the young midfielder with a dislocated ankle. Prior to the incident and the subsequent sending off of the Leeds United defender, Fabinho had doubled Liverpool's advantage with a fine effort.

The night concluded with Sadio Mane scoring his 99th goal in the his Premier League career with an assist from Thiago Alcantara. With the 3-0 win, Liverpool are now level on points (10) with Manchester United and Chelsea and ranks as one of the three teams that are undefeated in the league this season.
