The Portuguese superstar featured in his first training session after signing for the Old Trafford outfit.

Cristiano Ronaldo completed his first training session with his Manchester United teammates at Carrington ahead of his second debut against Newcastle United on Saturday. The 36-year-old forward was pictured outside for the first time since arriving in the UK last week as he was required to complete a five-day mandatory quarantine.

Ronaldo completed his return to Manchester United on transfer deadline day but did not show up soon in Manchester as he was summoned for national-team duty with Portugal. While away, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored twice against the Republic of Ireland in a World Cup qualifier to become the record scorer at the international level.

The booking he received for removing his shirt during celebrations rendered the former Juventus superstar ineligible to play against Azerbaijan due to accumulation of cards in the qualifiers. Ronaldo was subsequently allowed to leave the Portuguese camp last Thursday night for Manchester in order to prepare for his keenly-anticipated second debut at Old Trafford.

Following his return to the club's training base, he spent some time at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's office before joining his team-mates on the training pitch for the morning session. The rest of the squad members who featured for their respect nations during the international break are expected to be back in the coming days as the qualifying round concludes ahead of the weekend.
