The Red Devils extended their remarkable run away from Old Trafford with Sunday’s draw against Southampton.

Manchester United entered the Premier League's history books as a result of Sunday's draw with Southampton in their second game of the season. The Red Devils extended their unbeaten run away from home to 27 Premier League games, equalling Arsenal's top-flight record for the most away games played without a defeat.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side was practically a shadow of the team that fired five goals past Leeds United in the first game of the season as they failed to stamp their authority on the game. Often caught in possession due to Southampton's high-press, they were made to pay the price after Bruno Fernandez was tackled from behind and conceded possession in his side's half to hand the Saints the opportunity to strike.

After rattling the Portuguese playmaker and retrieving the ball, Stephens moved the ball to Djenepo who then played it to Armstrong. The latter finally got the ball to Adams, and the Scottish attacker fired a shot from close range with the ball deflecting off Fred's foot into the his side's goal in the 30th minute.

Manchester United found their rhythm for a brief moment in the early stages of the second half and used it to draw the game level through Mason Greenwood. However, despite a number of chances falling their way within the period, they failed to push ahead and grab a winner.

With the result, the Red Devils become the first Premier League club in history to play 27 matches without picking up a defeat since Arsenal achieved the feat 17 years ago.

In terms of individual milestone, Mason Greenwood became the fourth teenager in Premier League history to score in his team's opening two games of a season, and the first to do so since Alan Smith for Leeds United in August 2000.
