The Hammers travel to the Emirates Stadium for a highly-anticipated Premier League showdown as Moyes aims to achieve a long-awaited milestone.

Arsenal are gearing up for their penultimate game of 2023, with the Gunners hosting West Ham in a highly-anticipated Premier League affair. While the two teams have met already this season, this is their first English top-flight encounter of the season, with neither side wanting to drop points.

The Gunners locked horns with the Hammers in November for an interesting Carabao Cup showdown, with Arteta's men losing 3-1 and crashing out of the competition thanks to goals from Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, and a Ben White own goal.

The North London giants will want revenge over David Moyes' side. However, the Scottish manager will enter this game with the sole goal of achieving a record over last season's Premier League runners-up.

Despite being an iconic name in the English game due to his longevity and impressive spells with West Ham and previously Everton, Moyes has never won an away game against the Gunners.

And to make things worse, this is not confined to the Premier League. The 60-year-old tactician has faced Arsenal in an away game 22 times before across all competitions and never has he coached a victory over the North London outfit.

All he has to show for it are four draws, with the other 18 encounters ending in defeats, the most recent coming last season. The Hammers went 1-0 up in that Emirates Stadium encounter but three second-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Eddie Nketiah condemned his team to a 3-`1 loss.

West Ham's 3-1 win over Odegaard and Co. came at the London Stadium, hence why Moyes' awful record remains in tact. Fortunately, Bowen and Co. enter this game on the back of their weekend victory over Manchester United, beating the Red Devils 2-0 thanks to goals from — surprise, surprise — Bowen and Kudus.

Will the UEFA Europa Conference League holders make it back-to-back victories against two of England's Bix Six? Will Moyes end his long wait for an away win over the Gunners? Do not miss this game.
