A report by L'Equipe states that the 31-year-old has changed his stance regarding his commitment to the club, and considering the incidents that had radical PSG fans visiting his home, Neymar has apparently decided to leave the team with immediate effect, asking the club to release him if a suitable offer comes their way.
The article by the French media outlet states that the footballer believes the club is not ready to protect its players on and off the pitch, citing the incident with those fans as key to his decision. The player is apparently wishing to go back to Barcelona, and has even hinted that he will not be around to play against Lorient this Saturday.
PSG had reportedly slapped a transfer tag on Neymar when the 2022-23 season came to an end, but Luis Enrique's arrival to the team calmed down all transfer rumors surrounding the South American star.
