The Blues are keen on bringing the Serbian to Stamford Bridge but the desire sadly isn't mutual.

Chelsea could be in for turbulence as an interesting update regarding their Dusan Vlahovic pursuit has been reported.

The Premier League giants are on the hunt for a new striker but despite the upcoming season kicking off in a week, Mauricio Pochettino's side are yet to address this issue.

Juventus' aforementioned striker has been earmarked as a target, with Romelu Lukaku keen on heading the other way, making a player-plus-cash deal possible. In fact, the Belgian ace has already agreed personal terms with the Bianconeri and is ready to sign a three-year deal, which means it is up to Chelsea to find an arrangement for Vlahovic.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as per Football Italia), the Serbian striker is not all that keen on a Stamford Bridge switch. The Italian news outlet claims that the player prefers to stay in Turin, and were he to leave Serie A, Chelsea still would not be his first-choice destination.

The 23-year-old joined the Old Lady from Fiorentina for just under $85M in January 2022 and while things have not gone to plan for Dusan, his desire to play for the Italian powerhouse remains evident.

As a result, the player is not seeking an exit and has not handed a transfer request. However, he is aware of the current situation and is open to the idea of trying something new. Regardless, if that were to come true, his preferred destination would be PSG.

Should this deter Chelsea from pursuing Vlahovic? The quality is there irrespective of his form at Juventus, meaning this ultimately comes down to striking a deal with the player and his current employers.

Pochettino's side are also keen on Brighton's Moises Caicedo and with the Seagulls demanding £100M ($128M) for the Ecuadorian, Todd Boehly and Co. cannot afford to overpay for Vlahovic.
