It has all come down to one game for Barcelona to win the La Liga title under Xavi Hernández, and while doing so, the team grabbed a couple of records to make this title run even more fun to remember for their fans.
The team managed to overpower a tough Osasuna side with a late strike by Jordi Alba, who came off the bench to give the Catalan team three key points. With this shot and Barça's eventual one-nil win, the club earned itself a couple of milestones that will show how this team will be compared to other versions of the Blaugrana side, past and future.
The milestone earned with Alba's shot had to do with the team's ability to hold on to narrow leads, something that only a handful of clubs in La Liga's history had been able to do as frequently as the Catalan club.

The other record earned by the Blaugrana club had to do with their defensive prowess, as they have already earned a whopping 15 clean sheets in the competition while playing as hosts. According to stats specialist Mister Chip, the Catalan side has only seen two teams scoring at Camp Nou this season, and if they can manage to add one more clean sheet to that run, they will be writing the team's name in gold lettering.
"HISTORIC! Barcelona (with Ter Stegen and Xavi) have become the first team in La Liga history with 15 clean sheets at home in a single season (only Real Madrid and Espanyol scored against them there in the 2022-23 La Liga season). The team has left behind Real Valladolid (1987-88) and Real Sociedad (2021-22). Barcelona still have two home games this season (Real Sociedad and Mallorca) to set a new record that will be hard to match"

Since the Copa del Rey final will be held next weekend, Barcelona will have to wait before they can call themselves champions. Luckily for them, that wait could end even before they play against Espanyol, as their title celebrations could begin if Real Madrid don't win their game against Getafe earlier that weekend.
