Man City and Chelsea are set to face off in the Champions League final, with fans waiting to see who will steal the show between Foden and Mount.

The UEFA Champions League final is upon us, with fans and pundits alike eagerly anticipating the exciting Man City vs Chelsea showdown. Two of Europe's most in-form teams, and arguably two of the continent's best sides, will battle it out at the Estádio do Dragão in order to be crowned the 2020/21 kings of Europe.

Some of the world's best players will take to the field in Saturday's encounter, including two of the hottest young footballers in the beautiful game: Phil Foden and Mason Mount. The pair might start on opposing teams but they share a lot of similarities, the first being their age profile, with Mount (22) being just over a year older than his Man City counter-part (21).

They both represent the same country, the English national team, and are expected to don the Three Lions jersey in Euro 2020 after enjoying stellar 2020/21 campaigns. But how do their stats compare? Here's a look at their numbers from this season.

NOTE: These stats are from both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. They do not include the FA Cup and/or Carabao Cup.

Who has played more minutes?

Given Guardiola's strict commitment to rotation, it's no surprise that Mason Mount emerges on top in this department. Having been a staple figure under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel, he has racked up 3,572 minutes across the Premier League and the UCL in only his second season at the top level. Foden, on the other hand, has amassed almost 1000 fewer minutes, managing 2,589.

Who has scored more goals this season?

This one goes to Foden. In fact, in terms of overall goal contribution this season, the 21-year-old sits ahead of the Chelsea sensation. The Man City magician has scored 12 times, two of which came across both legs in the quarter-final victory over Dortmund, while his countryman has managed only eight goals. With an additional eight assists under his belt, Phil has contributed to more goals (20) than Mount (14).

Minutes per goal

Foden: 216

Not only does Foden have a superior minutes-per-goal ratio, but the Cityzens starlet is also more efficient with his shooting, getting 37 on target out of 75 attempts (roughly one every two shots). Mount, on the other hand, hits the target once every three attempts.

Who is the better dribbler?

Foden: 60

Mount: 53

Where does Mount enjoy a superiority over Foden?

In chance creation. The Stamford Bridge Player of the Season has created 96 chances in the domestic and European leagues, almost double that of Foden (54). Furthermore, Mason has created more big chances (15) than his English rival (9).

Which man will lead his team to victory in the UEFA Champions League final?

This remains uncertain. The only thing fans can expect is for the two young English stars to set the stage alight come the highly-anticipated showdown in Porto.
