After many years having his back and supporting him for his skills, it seems that the time has come for David De Gea to part ways with Manchester United. Or at least that is what most fans on social media had to say.
The Spanish goalkeeper had a massive hand on the Red Devils' loss against Los Hispalenses today, "teaming up" with Harry Maguire to hand out the first goal of the evening and giving away the third for the Andalucian side.
De Gea's poor ball-handling skills emerged when he tried to clear a ball away from his box with a first-touch. The problem was that he seemed to have enough time to control the ball and give it to a teammate, but his decision ended up with an "assist" to Youssef En-Nesyri, who capitalized on both howlers by De Gea to score a brace against the Premier League side.
Before you believe we have something against the footballer, have a look at his questionable decision (Image might be geo-restricted).

As mentioned before, fans did not forgive De Gea for his sloppy display, and considering that his contract will come to an end this season, most of them have come out to request his exit from the club with no questions asked. Here are some of the comments sparked by De Gea's awful performance.

... and that's probably why David de Gea's career at Manchester United perhaps should be over.

I have no idea why any Man Utd fan thinks wanting De Gea replaced means hating/disrespecting him. It's going to raise a big question mark on Ten Hag if De Gea's our no.1 next season.

Served the club well for years, but we need to move on for the team's best interest. pic.twitter.com/qqPgvmN8bw

Goal 2: cross claiming
Goal 3: sweeping
Pretty impressive that each goal showcased different David de Gea weaknesses
