The Dutch boss is a huge fan of the Red Devils' ace, and he seems desperate to end all speculation about the Englishman's commitment to the club.

Manchester United's season has taken a different turn thanks to Marcus Rashford's massive form, but information about a new deal for the English striker is yet to come, which has made fans and even coach Erik Ten Hag a bit nervous about his potential departure.

With that in mind, a report by The Mirror states that the Dutch tactician has demanded the team's hierarchy to speed things up when it comes to Rashford's new deal.

The report states that Ten Hag has asked the team's hierarchy to take swift action on this matter, regardless of what Rashford asked for his contract talks. Apparently, Rashford asked the team's top execs to wait until the end of the season to start negotiations, but the Dutch coach does not want to wait until then for developments.

Ten Hag's reasons to see this happening as soon as possible have to do with the bad experience he had with the team's negotiators last summer, when they failed to bring in Frenkie de Jong. Added to that, their search for another No.9 failed on the winter transfer window, forcing Ten Hag to be so adamant in terms of what he expects from the board this season.

As for Rashford, the footballer seems to be in no rush to extend his contract, as he has been told by Manchester United's hierarchy that his extension will be the top priority for them, even before David de Gea's contract, who is set to conclude his commitment to the club this summer.

Ten Hag's wishes have to do with his desire to scare away some of Rashford's suitors, such as PSG or even Newcastle, who have been named as potential destinations for Manchester United's No. 10.
