The Blues' horrendous form continues, with the London giants losing away to Tottenham for the first time at their new stadium.

Graham Potter entered the weekend in desperate need of a win but the under-fire English tactician was unable to produce the much-needed victory when his Chelsea side visited Tottenham.

The Blues locked horns with the North London giants on Sunday with the opportunity of moving within eight points of fourth, which is currently held by Antonio Conte's men. Instead, the two-time UEFA Champions League winners lost 2-0 and now find themselves a whopping 14 points outside of the top four.

Oliver Skipp opened the scoring for Tottenham straight after half-time while Harry Kane doubled the hosts' lead in the 82nd minute to secure the precious three points. Chelsea, meanwhile, are left with only two wins from their last 15 Premier League outings while seven of those matches shockingly ended in defeats.

And that's not all. The London giants boasted a brilliant record in this fixture up until Potter's arrival. Chelsea had a 100 percent record at Tottenham's new stadium but that run is now over following the 2-0 loss.

As a result, the calls for Potter to be sacked piled on. The former Brighton boss was met with boos in the 1-0 loss to Southampton at Stamford Bridge last weekend and this only increased on social media following the final whistle.

Speaking after the game, the 49-year-old tactician took full responsibility for the club's current slump, admitting that it is his job to get the best out of his current squad. Additionally, he refused to get dragged into discussions regarding his future, stating that he's simply focused on their upcoming clash with Leeds.

Nonetheless, the reports suggest that Potter still retains the backing of Todd Boehly and Co. despite the horrendous form. The English giants are 10th in the table, level on points with 11th-placed Aston Villa, and trail both Brentford and Brighton by four points despite playing more games.
