Brazil were considered by many as the big candidates to win the FIFA World Cup...but along came Croatia to spoil the fun and to put an end to their dance moves.

The South American side proved once more that they are not as effective as you might think when taking spot kicks, as they have lost their second penalty shootout in World Cup history. To make matters worse, both of those eliminations came in the Quarter-finals: the first one in 1986 against France, and today's elimination against Croatia.

Unfortunately, things are also getting a bit more complicated for A Canarinha when they face European rivals in the KO Stage of a World Cup game. This elimination marks the fifth time in a row where the Brazilian side has been shown the exit door of the tournament by a team from Europe.

Unfortunately for the Seleçao fans, their quest for a new World Cup title will have to wait four more years, where players such as Neymar may not be around to help them in that massive assignment.
