Florida State (15-0) enters its fifth NCAA Tournament championship game, aiming to lift its third-ever trophy. All that stands between the Seminoles and a perfect season is Santa Clara (10-1), who are looking to go 2-1 in College Cup finals. The NCAA College Cup action will take place at in Cary, North Carolina.

The Seminoles are coming off two wins on penalty kicks after a 0-0 draws against Duke and Virginia. Despite not scoring in their previous two games, the ACC Champions only conceded one goal in their NCAA Tournament run of four games. Freshman goalkeeper Cristina Roque made two saves against West Virginia in the semifinals, and one save against Duke in the quarterfinals to take FSU to the final.

Florida State also houses midfielder Jaelin Howell, who has senior experience with the USWNT, and center back Malia Berkely, both MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalists.

On the flip side of the coin, Santa Clara is coming in hot after taking down the 21-time champions North Carolina 3-1 in the semifinals. The Broncos lived a dream start after scoring in the 20th minute, but the chance of a nightmare gloomed after the Tarheels equalized early in the second half. However, the West Coast Conference champs scored 30 seconds later to take back the lead and sealed the win in the 59th minute with a third goal.

Senior Sophomore Izzy D'Aquila, Kelsey Turnbow, freshman Sally Menti and junior Skylar Smith are Santa Clara's point leaders this season. They have been heavily involved in the Broncos' Women's College Cup run.
