Real Madrid remain unstoppable for the time being. They’ve just beaten Malaga 4-0.
The first important move occurred as early as inside the second minute of the game. It had Cristiano Ronaldo cutting inside the box after driving down the left wing.

The Portuguese superstar then went down but referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz waved play on. Sixty seconds later, Malaga also had a penalty shout denied as Joaquin fell under a challenge of Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira. In both circumstances, the match official certainly got his decision right.

The hosts seemed to manage the game well by getting possession of the ball in midfield. However, their tactics didn’t serve them for long.

After 11 minutes, Gonzalo Higuain broke the deadlock as he took the ball around Malaga’s goalkeeper Ruben. From that moment, Real Madrid completely controlled the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 3 goals in succession. The first of those came midway through the first period thanks to a fabulous cross by Di Maria. Ronaldo hit a brace 4 minutes later; his low shot reached the bottom corner of Malaga’s net.

The 26-year-old continued to haunt Ruben as the hosts played poorly. At the 38th minute, Malaga’s terrible defending allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to complete his hat-trick.

The Spanish giants went into the dressing room at the break with a 4-0 lead. With this satisfying result, Jose Mourinho only made his first substitution inside the 62nd minute with Özil replacing Kaka. 20 minutes from time, Gonzalo Higuain made way for Karim Benzema while Santi Cazorla and Joaquin left the pitch later on.

The second half produced no goals. The match finished 4-0 to Madrid.
