The Three Lions skipper has reportedly grown frustrated with a lack of silverware at his current club and could push for an exit this summer.

With Jose Mourinho sacked and now with no prospect of silverware after losing the League Cup final, reports are picking up steam that Tottenham ace Harry Kane wants to depart in lieu of other opportunities.

Despite having been on the books at Spurs since 2009, silverware has been in short supply for the 27-year-old. To date, he's not won a single title, with his team coming painfully close to winning the Champions League in 2019, only to come up short against Liverpool, plus two runners-up medals in the League Cup in 2015 and again this year.

As such, it's now 14 years since Spurs since won a trophy, and given that Kane will be 30 in just a few years time, it's reported that he's been telling close friends that he would like to seek opportunities elsewhere.

However, these same "sources" claim that he has one eye on toppling English legend Alan Shearer's goal-scoring record - meaning that he may not be so keen on making a move overseas.

That will make things tricky. For starters, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy won't be so keen on selling his prized asset, not as Spurs will still look to challenge for titles.

And even if he's forced to sell, Levy will be especially loath to sell to a fellow rival.

Kane, who will turn 28 this summer, has three years left on his present contract, and has publicly said that he'd decide his future after the upcoming EURO tournament.

He's valued at £125 million, meaning that there are only a few clubs who could realistically afford him.

One is none other than current league leaders Manchester City, who will be set to part ways with Sergio Aguero this summer.

The Citizens have also been linked with Dortmund's Erling Haaland, but the ridiculous amount the player and his agent, Mino Raiola are demanding for a wage packet, plus Dortmund's unwillingness to sell could turn them off entirely and push them to look at slightly cheaper - and more proven options like Kane, who's more experienced at both club and international level than the Norwegian international.
