The current Spanish National Team boss has voiced his thoughts on his former pupil in a documentary set to be aired on TV3.

While some voices urge Barcelona to do everything in their power to try and keep Lionel Messi around, there are other who believe that the process of adapting to life after Messi would be easier if the club decided to part ways with him as soon as possible.

One of those who believe that the second approach is proper is none other than Luis Enrique, who had his share of problems with Messi when he coached Barcelona. The current La Roja boss spoke in a documentary about this issue, and asked fans and those within the team not to worry about the club's future without "La Pulga".

"Barcelona will win titles without him and they will do so sooner than you think. Barcelona should not be afraid of the post-Messi era,"Luis Enrique said.

The former boss added that there are a lot of voices that worry about Messi's exit like if it was the end of the world, and he urged them to keep their thoughts to themselves on this issue. But even so, he insisted that he would love to see Messi retiring with Los Culés.

"There are a lot of sad faces regarding this issue, and I think it is not adequate. But as a culé associate, I'd love to see Messi staying at Camp Nou for the romantic idea of being a one-club player," Luis Enrique added.

The player is expected to announce a decision regarding his future as soon as La Liga comes to an end. While recent reports hint that he could extend his term as a Blaugrana, other reports state that PSG could be his next club after the French side presented him "an offer he can't refuse," according to sources.
