Incredibly, Manchester United have netted 18 goals in 4 matches and conceded only 3 whereas Chelsea have a 7-3 record. What will be done of the Devils’ scoring machine on Sunday?
Despite all the complexity of the English Premier League, don’t overlook Andre Villas-Boas’s potential. A quick look at his records could remind you that the young manager won 84.48% of his matches at Porto. Only few, if not no-one, would dare to say that AVB’s achievements with the Dragons were mostly a matter of luck.

It’s certainly too early to compliment or criticize the 33-year-old’s work at Chelsea. Thus far, however, Andre Villas-Boas can be satisfied with the current state of his squad.

The Portuguese man is seemingly coping well with Fernando Torres’ goal crisis, for example. His summer signing, Juan Mata, is also performing well at the benefit of the entire team.

Chelsea’s football is arguably not the most entertaining in the English Premier League. But as far as getting good results is what counts most, one can reasonably believe that the Blues are on a good track this season. Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson, at least, shares this opinion.

“The new coach has started very well,” Fergie confessed while talking to the press in England ahead of Sunday’s big showdown.

“It's a hard challenge at his age but he has acquitted himself very well and his team has responded, which is what you hope for as a new manager at a club. Chelsea will be there at the end of the season. There's no doubt about that.

“Villas-Boas won the double last year with Porto so that's a help. That stands him in good stead in terms of the start of his tenure at Chelsea.”

So how true could Rene Meulensteen’s vision of the Blues’ opportunities be? The Manchester United personality believes that “their squad is too old and their tempo is not high enough to win the Premier League”. Well, Andre Villas-Boas had an answer for this comment.

“We may have one of the older teams in the league, but look at the trophies these players have won,” Andre declared at a press conference.

“They have a lot to offer and you just have to find the correct balance between youth and experience.”

Ironically, Chelsea are an old team with a young coach. With Manchester United, it’s the other way around. The Red Devils are a young squad with an old manager. Considering the experience factor, on which team should one place his money?
