Cesc Fabregas is still relishing his move from Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium to Barcelona’s temple, the Camp Nou.
The young midfielder has been subject to a lot of debates concerning his career at Barca. Many believe the Spanish club actually doesn’t need him and that the bench is likely to remain is permanent destination.

However, Cesc Fabregas insists that happy days are ahead for him in Catalonia and that he can cope perfectly with Xavi and company. Barcelona’s official website quoted him as saying:

“I think that Xavi still has some years left in him. He does things you wouldn’t believe! I haven’t come to retire Xavi. I came here to play with Xavi, to compete with Xavi, and to win with Xavi.

“What I’m saying about Xavi also goes for Andres [Iniesta] and Thiago [Alcantara]. I think altogether we make a very good group. I know what we’ll do. With the great group we are, we’ll do great things together.

“I’m very young and the best years of my football career are beginning now, and in the future. I still have a lot to learn and hope to mature with Barça for many years to come.”

Cesc Fabregas enjoyed a great debut in his number 4 jersey which used to be Pep Guardiola’s. Fabregas made the most of the few minutes he had against Real Madrid in the 2011 Supercopa de España at the Camp Nou.

The Spaniard produced a great pass in the build up to Lionel Messi’s 87th minute winner. In injury time, the foul he sustained through Marcelo’s terrible tackle created a brawl in which Jose Mourinho was seen poking Tito Vilanova’s eye.

Following his wonderful debut at Barcelona which ended his title drought as an individual, Cesc Fabregas has been tipped to achieve greater things in his Blaugrana jersey. It remains to be seen how Pep Guardiola will use him on a regular basis since Barca possess great midfielders already.
