The league leaders saw their advantage reduced due to a defensive mishap. Now, it will be up to Porto to catch up to them.

The 2020-21 Primeira Liga title race continues to keep fans on the edge of their seats, and while Sporting are still at the top, the gap between them and the second place shortened during the past weekend.

The games that took place during the past days had something fore everyone, starting with Porto's narrow win at home. Their win was followed up by Benfica's win against Maritimo, which helped them keep the third place all to themselves. Meanwhile, the top story of the weekend saw Sporting dropping two points after a late draw against Moreirense, something that Ruben Amorim's men had not been used to during the course of the season.

Without further ado, let's have a look at what went down in the Portuguese top-flight this weekend.

Top four teams in the Primeira Liga until April 5

As for Jorge Jesús' men, their victory came in handy to keep their one-point advantage over Braga in their battle for third place.
