Between Europe’s top 3 or 4 clubs, one tried to sign Hulk for €80M, agent Fonseca has revealed.
Among other 25-year-old stars, Hulk is one of the most accomplished players in club football. The Brazilian, who is yet to have a big carrier for the Selecção, has won several trophies at Porto. Last season, Hulk was one of the most influential players in his squad as the Dragons went on to claim their second treble in history.

The winger scored 36 goals and made 21 assists in 51 appearances for Porto as he clinched a record 6th Portuguese League Player of the Month award. Evidently, Hulk has become the desire of many top managers around Europe, and as agent Fonseca could confirm while speaking to Record, there’s been a big offer for the player.

“I would be lying if I said there hadn't been offers for the signing of Hulk,” Fonseca stated.

“I believe the highest was for €80m, but FC Porto didn't even want to negotiate. That [the name of the club] I can't reveal, but it wouldn't be difficult to guess because there are three or four clubs that are in conditions to pay those figures for a player.”

Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City could be anyone’s prime candidates for this transfer issue. If signed this summer, Hulk could become the most expensive player in the history of football as he has a €100M release clause in his contract.

Currently, this title is being held by Portugal and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The former-Portuguese Liga starlet switched from Manchester United to Real Madrid in a mega-deal which cost Los Blancos €94M.

Previously, the world’s most expensive player was ex-Juventus and Real Madrid playmaker Zinedine Zidane. Hulk is set to be in action against Barcelona later on as Porto will face the Catalans in the UEFA Super Cup.
