With his contract talks reportedly hitting a snag, both the Spanish and Italian giants could opt to make a move to sign the 26-year-old defender this summer.

If reports are to be belived, another of Mino Raiola's clients could be on the move this summer.

Of course, Raiola is always looking to shift his players as it means more revenue for him, so agitating and stirring the pot is the nature of his game. This time around, the rumor mill concerns AC Milan's Alessio Romagnoli, who presently is locked in contract negotiations with the Rossoneri.

The 26-year-old, who presently serves as Milan's skipper, is presently on a wage packet of about €3.5 million per season. His agent has demanded that the Diavolo nearly double that to €6 million per season.

It's not surprising that Milan have balked at this and have started to consider other options. Namely, how to possibly cash in on a player that they had paid about €30 million to Roma to sign in 2015.

And, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan may have some interested parties in the form of Serie A rivals Juventus, as well as Barcelona.

As per the same info from the Italian publication, six years has passed, and the Diavolo would have to sell the player at a slight loss. €20 million or so would be the initial bidding price for any team to get their feet in the door for Milan to consider listening to any offers once this summer's transfer window opens.

Of course, one shouldn't be shocked that this is all just simply be a bid by Raiola to try to force Milan's hand to give his client more money and meet somewhere in the middle. The Rossoneri won't give Romagnoli €6 million, but may be willing to settle for something more along the lines of €4.7 to €5 million if they don't get the kind of offers they want from any of the reported interested parties, so it will really be interesting to see how this plays out and where Romagnoli finds himself when the 2021/2022 season kicks off in about five months' time.
