March 22, 2021 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
Paris Saint-Germain outclassed Lyon to move to finally climb to the top-spot as Lille stuttered against Nantes.

The Ligue 1 title race took an interesting turn this weekend with the leader tag changing hands in an extraordinary fashion. Former top-spot occupants Lille were subjected to one of the upsets of the season, losing 2-1 in their own backyard against Nantes to pave the way for their subsequent demotion.

Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain capitalized on Les Dogues' mishap and took hold of the golden opportunity presented to climb up into the first position with a resounding 4-2 win over rivals Lyon. Prior to that, AS Monaco added to their impressive charge in the title race by securing a 4-0 away win over St Etienne.
